Red, White, and Pink Tour

No automatic alt text available.

I kind of questioned my sanity immediately after joining this blog tour. Mainly because I don't do pink or stuff with hearts and all mushy valentine's stuff. I then thought - I like red, maybe I'll just make a red shirt or some red pants. Then, one day I was going through one of my shelves and I ran across a fabric that I felt fit the bill perfectly!

Okay - I'll admit it's not very pink, red, or white - It's more purply and a coralish pink. This print is by Hamburger Liebe from 2015 and called Love is all you need. It's still available in blue from Alles fuer selbermacher.

I love that this print has a lyric from one of my favorite songs by the Beatles.

After I selected my print, I immediately grabbed my yard of Wisteria stretch velvet from Zenith & Quasar. The first house my husband and I bought had the most amazing Wisteria vines in the front yard. I looked forward to every spring when they bloomed. They were a gorgeous purple and they smelled amazing.

I love that this is pinkish without being a traditional pink. I will be wearing this shirt for more than Valentine's Day. I can see myself wearing this a lot.

After I made my shirt, I had a bit of this print leftover and decided to make my mother a shirt too. Her's has the print as the sleeves and the body is a coral pink. I then added an HTV design that says "All you need is Love" and two birds inside a heart that's a purplish color like the print. It
s super cute and I have no photos of it. I'll have to see if I can get my mom to take some, but she did record a video of it. I can't figure out how to save the video though to share it here.

Be sure to visit the other bloggers on this tour. There are so many great creations.
